When people don’t understand what you’re going through, it’s because they don’t see what you see. Their vision is far different from yours. And with this, these people tend to tell you things way outside of your line.

Some people may become like a Chief Advantage Officer; people who want you to stay right where you are – because they benefit from your position. They get more than they give. They’re looking out for their best interests first and foremost and when it’s their best interest they will dump you without hesitation.

Some people may become The Mouse; these people mean well but they are so afraid to risk themselves so they will advise you to keep quiet, to play small, to live a mediocre life. But maybe people could become like The Guru. The knowledgeable and influential people. They seem like a good group but the problem with them is that they focus too much on what worked for them and they assume that it will also be the same with you. When it comes to these types of people, take what you like and leave the rest.

Well, some people are what we call The Know-It-All; the ones that have all the answers to everything – or at least they think they do. The problem is they don’t know what they’re talking about. They like to give advice to feel powerful and important. Watch out though because sometimes, they can become very convincing.

Last ones are what we call The Codependent; they are somehow similar to the Chief Advantage Officer because they benefit from your relationship. Like the Mouse, they may also care about you. These type of people benefits from feeling needed by you, and they will unconsciously keep you dependent on them.

Watch out for these 5 people in particular. They will tell you not to trust yourself. They will tell you to stop dancing your own music. And they are wrong. At the end of the day, it’s you that gets to decide for your life. It’s your own journey after all. Don’t look back and see that you believed other people more than you believed yourself.
